Capabilities

Ferrotherm has been manufacturing and repairing parts for the turbine engine industry and operators for over 70 years. Our current turning equipment can swing up to 84 inch diameter rings. We are equipped with numerous CNC turning, grinding, EDM, mill and drill machines. We also have furnace brazing and heat treating capability, along with TIG welding of all metals inclusive of nickel and cobalt alloys. Our Quality Control department uses the latest programmable CMM's and our Engineering department, with the aid of Unigraphics, can ensure consistent production of accurate components to meet our customer’s exacting requirements.

We are equipped with the latest data technology, i.e., EDI, Bar coding, SPC and MRP to meet delivery expectations. Our experienced staff, with over 300 years in the aerospace industry, is also available to assist customers with development and concurrent engineering projects.

In addition, Ferrotherm has an approved Metallurgical Laboratory which can evaluate grain size, hardness, bond counts, weld penetration, IGA, IGO, erosion tests, nickel plate adhesion, braze and honeycomb bonding as well as providing Photomicrographs and analyze metallurgical specimens.
